Educational Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• Certification in Massage Therapy
• Certified in Yoga instruction a plus
• Esthetician certification a plus
Experience Requirements:
• Preferred minimum of 3 years experience in Massage Therapy
Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to departmental grooming standards, in full uniform.
• Practice professionalism in every situation with co-workers, guests and management, treating each person with respect and integrity.
• Maintain positive relations at all times, including guests, members, telephone inquiries, and fellow staff
• Greet all arriving and departing guests.
• Answer the telephone in a prompt friendly manner.
• Maintain the confidentiality policy for all guests and members.
• Receive and respond to all guest concerns, comments or complaints with discretion and urgency.
• Inquire as to the guest experience and level of satisfaction with treatments and services.
• Maintain a complete knowledge of the following:
• Resort departments and operating hours.
• Resort and spa pricing, fees and charges for all spa services.
• Treatment room types, décor, locations and amenities.
• Daily appointments, arriving guests, available appointments, specials, etc.
• Retail brands, product lines, services and special promotions.
• Handle booking and appointment schedule.
• Perform services and treatments.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines while administering massage therapy. I.e., adhere to draping policy, refer guests with medical problems to their physicians, adhere to time length and treatment protocols when administering treatments, and conduct a pre-screening to determine any client contraindications.
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
• Manage and schedule spa staff and contractors.
• Design, develop and teach Yoga classes.
• Remain current with all staff certifications and licenses.
• Work individually with guests and Club members.
• Demonstrate a team player audited
• Assist in other departments, such as the front desk, during slower times.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and self starter. Energetic and takes initiative, persistent in pursuing and completing tasks, strives to exceed expectations.
• Proficient in required job skills and knowledge. Intelligent in grasping and integrating new information. Active learner with strong curiosity. Natural instincts and insight for finding the best solution to unclear issues and problems. Considers multiples resources and methods for analyzing problems. Makes great decisions.
• Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements: Ability to lift 25-50 lbs; work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain); Walk and climb stairs; Handle, finger grasp and feel objects and equipment; Reach with hands and arms; Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word; Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions; Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; Complete all required forms.
