The Esthetician is responsible for performing professional Facials, Waxing Services and a range of Body Treatments using Aveda and/or Eminence products.  To accomplish this, our Estheticians must have thorough knowledge of the skin to include treatments for various conditions, facial cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage and skin extraction techniques.  Excellent communication skills are required to perform these services as well as having the ability to provide product information for retail and at home skin care.  The following duties, responsibilities, requirements and qualifications are the primary functions of this position and all staff members are required to perform other functions as part of the team.

Qualifications
- Must hold a current State of Colorado esthetics license
- Possess a high school degree or equivalent
- Some college training or degree a plus
- One year esthetics experience a plus
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Experience with an Aveda or Eminence Spa or Salon a plus

- Able to stand for long periods of time whether for treatments or assisting Guest Services

- Promote both Aveda and Eminence products with guests and staff members
- Able to operate all equipment relating to job functions

Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive at least fifteen minutes before the beginning of your shift on week days and thirty minutes on weekends for each appointment
- Have flexibility with your schedule in supporting the spa's needs
- Provide consistent services and treatments in accordance with spa protocols and industry practices
- Possess ability to work without supervision, especially during non-treatment times
- Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Study, learn and listen to guest needs via intake forms, questions and a thorough client consultation
- Follow through on guest needs and concerns to establish relationships and pre-bookings
- Ensure that guest date, profile and contact information is entered into database via Guest Services Team
- Follow through on guest appreciation with follow up phone calls on service and product satisfaction, thank you cards and social media
- Handle staff questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Actively promote and cross-promote the spa, treatments, services and products
- Actively promote the importance of wellness and home care with guests and staff
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests that require immediate attention
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock assigned treatment rooms
- Assist with inventory duties
- Uphold the standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with spa protocols, industry 
standards and state requirements
- Maintain positive attitude and focus on spa needs and avoid distractions to a productive spa environment (e.g. cell phones, social media, gossip)
- Respect client and staff confidentiality - all names, email addresses, telephone numbers and client information are property of Spa Universaire
- Regularly attend, participate, support and contribute information and knowledge as needed or requested for Staff Meetings
- Assist in all areas of spa operations as requested by Management
- Arrive at work well rested, alert, and punctual. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Practice what we teach at the spa.
