Experienced Makeup Artist/Esthetician

Simply Moore, under new ownership since April 2014 is looking for a passionate dual Makeup Artist/Esthetician. Approximately 75% of our business is makeup (applications, lessons, and blending) so you must love makeup and makeup application.

This position is part time with the opportunity for full time depending on performance. Full time candidates are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

The state of Colorado requires any Makeup Artist that charges for makeup services to be a licensed Esthetician. At Simply Moore we believe that great skin provides the foundation for any makeup, and we also perform facials, chemical peels, microdermbrasion, body treatments, spray tanning, lash & brow tinting, and some waxing. While it is preferred that you are proficient in all of these, our main concern is that you are great with makeup and consultative retail selling. We can teach you the rest!

The right person will have a neat professional image, positive attitude, confidence, a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Knowledge of basic makeup services (application, tutorials, ingredients, and color matching).
• Experience with facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, brow and lash tinting, brow tweezing, back facial treatments and waxing.
• Knowledge of Sanitas and Lira skincare products and services, or willingness to learn those lines.
• Strong retail sales skills and a minimum of 1 year experience in cosmetic and/or skincare sales.
• Ability to up sell services and products utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to market yourself to attract new clients and build your personal client request rate.
• Detail oriented, with the ability to be self managed and a true multi-tasker.
• The willingness and ability to quickly learn new skin treatments and techniques.
• Ability to be a team player and assisting with the day-to-day tasks associated with keeping the studio running smoothly, such as making the makeup.
• Must be a licensed Esthetician in the state of Colorado.
• Chemical Peel and Microdermabrasion certificates are preferred but not required. However, the more services you can do, the more successful you can be.
