National Sales Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the V.P. of Sales, the National Sales Manager will create and implement effective sales strategies and lead nationwide team of Regional Managers toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.
Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
Provide leadership through effective communication using active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments to address key business issues and opportunities.
Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Education & Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree, 5+ years of outside sales experience and at least 5 years of experience managing a sales force.
Skills:  Experience and success in leading and managing a diverse sales team.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans.
Demonstrated ability to professionally develop and coach team members.
Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and management skills.
Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
 Ability to travel as required, estimated to be 30% or more.
