Iredale Mineral Cosmetics is a rapidly growing global distributor of natural cosmetics currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.
The Retail Support Specialist (RSS) is responsible for successfully carrying out the strategic plans for sales targets and market development objectives as established each year by Iredale Mineral Cosmetics (IMC).
Essential Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The RSS will report to the Regional Director (RD) with a dotted line to the National Accounts Manager (NAM).
Maintains and grows existing Partner portfolio while achieving established service and sales targets through planned routing of floor support, makeup artistry services, education/coaching, events, merchandising, inventory management and tester/display maintenance and supervision.
Communication with partners through telephone and email. Develop and maintain routing plan for optimal territory coverage. Keep and maintain excellent business Partner contacts within the territory through CRM. Provide customer service excellence and stellar follow up and follow through. Build and maintain relationships with team members within each Partner door.
Support accounts with regular stock review to uncover inventory opportunities and find solutions for challenges. Assist customers with inventory management training as needed.
Implement trade and consumer promotions with all Partners in assigned territory. Ensure broad reach of distribution and sell through by providing prompt and professional training, specific to new products and promotions. Ensure that Partners use point of sale merchandising materials to optimize exposure.
Participate in and support all sales, marketing and educational programs and objectives set forth by IMC (new product launches, promotions, educational offerings, trade shows, regional meetings, National Sales Meetings, etc.). Provide recommendations for in-house training and/or appropriate educational offerings. Promote and assist in regional educational offerings, Schedules and conducts onsite training and Cluster Classes to support the retail channel.
Provides regular, timely and meaningful market feedback and standard reporting to RD and NAM on sales activities, Partner visits, current business conditions, trends and competitive analysis and activities via CRM and online management reporting procedures and processes.
Education and Experience:
  • Required:
o High school diploma.
o Minimum of two years outside sales experience, preferably in the beauty industry or consumer goods.
  • Preferred –
o Licensed Esthetician and/or Makeup Artist.
o Retail customer service such as store management or associate.
o Experience servicing and educating high profile salons, spas, retail merchants, beauty apothecary, beauty supply.
o Public speaking.
o AA or BA degree.
Other Skills and Competencies:
  • Articulate, persuasive and charismatic. Provide excellent communication with Partners, consumers and IMC management team.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and focused with the ability to manage schedule, build consistency with routing and complete tasks within deadlines.

  • Computer Proficiency: Applicant must be proficient in the following applications; Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Must be able to navigate and work with company CRM database and Concur Expense Management.
