We are looking for a part-time esthetician Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Our first Jalan Facial Spa in Denver, Colorado opened in December 2016. Jalan is a unique day spa focused on facial treatments with complimentary amenities such as aromatherapy, foot baths, mediation garden, and its signature lemongrass tea, all delivered within a serene retreat. Modeled after its successful sister brand with 60 locations throughout southeast Asia, Jalan's expert skincare consultants will blend traditional Eastern traditions with modern skincare techniques to provide an immersive experience--what we call the Jalan Journey.

Unlike some day spas that have an almost clinical or retail feeling, Jalan will offer a therapeutic journey for half the price of high-end day spas and hotel/resort spas. It is unlike anything else being offered in the U.S. We are offering an opportunity for our employees to get in on the ground floor of the U.S. branch of this growing multi-national organization (the company just opened a spa in China a few months ago!). 

What is most important for us is to find someone who wants to be part of creating an amazing organizational culture where all the employees of Jalan, including estheticians, therapists, assistants, etc,. enjoy where they work, feel engaged and connected, and are rewarded financially for their hard work. 

Responsibilities:
Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable 25-75 minute professional facial
Manage and maintain equipment after use
Maintain treatment room cleanliness
Plan and organize supplies usage
Interact with clients and co-workers in a professional manner
Promote new skin care techniques
Attend weekly staff meetings
Recommend product based on guest needs

Skills and Qualification:
Must be licensed in the State of Colorado
Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace, both verbally and non-verbally
Ability to respond to guest concerns with urgency and professionalism
Work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
Able to reach 24 inches
Endure physical movements throughout the work areas
Effectively demonstrate motor coordination, finger and manual dexterity

Compensation:
Commission per service performed OR a fixed hourly rate. Compensation will be dependent on which amount is greater during a 7 day period!
