PainTheory is looking for a Nurse Navigator to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Nurse Navigator is an essential player in PainTheory’s service, helping Coloradans find and connect with the right pain care, fast. This is a virtual role, so you can work remotely from wherever! Responsibilities include:

• Triaging patient clinical requests via phone and online chat.
• Loading new patients into the electronic health record.
• Using physician recommendations and simple algorithms to match patients with appropriate specialists.
• Coordinating scheduling options with the patient.

PainTheory offers same-day, online consults, referrals, and scheduling to help Coloradans find relief for musculoskeletal pain. With a call, click, or tap, patients can access skilled medical opinions and care coordination. PainTheory is pioneering a new way for patients to navigate their journey to pain relief, providing unmatched convenience and accessibility to care, and also reducing the burden on primary care providers, urgent care facilities, and emergency rooms.

Our Mission:

As third-party care coordination service, PainTheory stands as an unbiased advocate for patients. We utilize technology and customer service to offer patients unparalleled access to quality care, avoid unnecessary visits and procedures, and help patients find relief fast.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicating with patients via phone, email, and online message.
• Sending patient records to PainTheory physicians for online consults.
• Utilizing the PainTheory provider database to match patients with appropriate specialists.
• Calling clinics to gather information on availability and insurance acceptance.
• Coordination of patient referrals.
• Management of clinical tasks and follow-up in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Post-visit patient callbacks.
• Other responsibilities as identified.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Reaching out to clinics and referral sources in the community with information about PainTheory.
• Assistance with event planning and other activities to spread the word about PainTheory!

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 years of Clinical Experience: EMT, LPN, RN, MA
• Experience using an electronic medical record (ideal but not required).

• Strong customer service capabilities.
• Triage / Dispatch screening.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to think critically in complex situations.
• Positive mindset.
• Willingness to learn and have fun!
