Esthetician Instructor - Part Time
Pay Rate: $31.81
Position Objectives:
This faculty member will perform instructional duties and related activities in accordance with the philosophies and procedures of Emily Griffith Opportunity School. Some weekend /evening teaching may be required.
Essential Functions
· Teach assigned courses in Esthetician.
· Prepare students to sit and pass the State Esthetician Licensure.
· Demonstrate teaching skills and knowledge to perform a variety of functions in the area of esthetics.
· Be knowledgeable in both service and merchandising businesses.
· Maintain program compliance with program approval.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
· Demonstrated competency with multiple instructional delivery methods including online, hybrid, face to face and individualized learning.
· Experience using various forms of instructional technology such as smart classrooms, podcasts, presentation software, and online course management systems such as Blackboard, WebCT, or Desire2Learn.
· Maintain all student records and report student attendance and grades using appropriate software systems used by Emily Griffith Opportunity School.
· Maintain discipline and enforce rules of conduct and behavior in accordance with school policy.
· Market programs to agencies, businesses, and students.
· Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Attend and participate in faculty, departmental, advisory committee, and other professional meetings and participate in professional development activities.
· Ability to select textbooks, develop and evaluate curriculum.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
· Taught in a vocational technical school or community college
· Two (2) years experience in a related occupation within the preceding 7 years.
· Must possess or have the ability to acquire a Full-Time Colorado Credential for Career and Technical Education.
