The Licensed Esthetician is responsible for providing esthetics services to patients in a busy medical dermatology practice across two locations. This position reports to the Director of Cosmetics.
Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:
Esthetic consultation with patients on both skin care products and cosmetic treatments
Customized facials and treatments including medical microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and IPL/Acleara, SilkPeel
Acne surgery treatments, milia and skin tag removal
Coolsculpting consultations and treatments
Assist providers with treatments including Dual Fraxel, Vbeam Perfecta, and Photo Dynamic Therapy
Assist with cosmetic events in the office and the community
Administrative duties related to cosmetics- taking payments, scheduling appointments, phone consults
Attend trainings and seminars to learn treatment protocols and enhance knowledge
Assist administrative medical staff in scheduling, answering phones, patient flow in the office
The person in this role must have a current esthetician license. Previous Dermatology office or medispa experience is preferred, though not required. This person must have superior technical skills and a natural ability to connect with patients. Must be proficient and enjoy sales aspect of aesthetics. Any advanced skincare and product knowledge (Obagi, Avene, EltaMD, Latisse, Botox and filler) is helpful.
This position requires travel to satellite offices and a varying schedule, including some Saturday hours (totaling approximately 24 hours per week). Can grow into full-time.
